The struggle to get featured without constantly having to prove yourself or push for recognition inspired me to create SYSTEMradio - a space where upcoming DJs could be heard with ease.

During a minor in my bachelor’s, I launched SYSTEMradio to spotlight up-and-coming DJs from Utrecht. The idea was simple: DJs could record a mix from home - no need to come by - and send it in to be featured. I handled everything else, from writing the copy for each post to creating visually compelling artwork based on my own analog photography or through collaborations with photographers I admired.

SYSTEMradio wasn’t just a music platform - it was a created as creative outlet where sound met visuals, and artists found a stage without unnecessary barriers.
